The Proofreaders gives free estimates on all jobs before any work is done. Free estimates give you the opportunity to know in advance how much your job will cost before committing to The Proofreaders for proofreading and editing services. Monday through Friday business time, within two to nine hours after your electronic request has been submitted, The Proofreaders will reply with an online, written, free estimate that describes the service and cost of your job. Free estimates come with the option to “accept” before proceeding to the next step. If you have questions about your estimate, you can “reply” within the body of the estimate, and send it back. if you do nothing, no further action will be taken. The document(s) you sent will be promptly deleted from our server.

Free Estimates that have been “Accepted”

In order for The Proofreaders to proceed with your job, you must follow the online link to your custom free estimate. If you accept the free estimate, an online invoice will be generated with a variety of payment options. In most cases, the payment of your online invoice will trigger the job commencement; otherwise, alternate payment options can be arranged so that we can begin your job without delay. Accepted Free Estimates that have been “Invoiced”

As previously stated, accepted free estimates need to be paid in full before any work can begin. You will have the option to pay your invoice with most major credit cards and PayPal.

Questions about Free Estimates

In order to properly estimate your job, in most cases a copy of the document or link to the website/video in need of proofreading and/or editing needs to be received by The Proofreaders.
